4 starts so far until I try them. You can not beat the deal. They feel the same as the ones that I have that are way more expensive... i’ll Update in a few days when I put them to the test!I’ll put some pictures so you can see how they come and the size of each individual package!:)Update: I have open them further and seen them with the sun on the back of it... and you can see an uneven distribution of the Mylar ( or whatever the reflective stuff is called).I compared to another ones that I have and you can see why these are so much cheaper... not sure if I gonna keep them or buy some of the expensive ones. I guess thet if you use 2 of these is equal a one of the other but that’s a bummer.Well, it’s you choice.I just wish it wasn’t so confusing choosing between this thing a ... the review are so polarizing!

I'm a 52 year old mom from ND with adult children and also one last kiddo at home who just passed his driver's permit test. Last Christmas I spent about $75 on each of 8 Winter Emergency Kits for the car and gave them to my kids, their significant others, my dad, sister, and niece. This Christmas I'm gifting this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SIR91A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 awesome shovel to those same 8 people to add to their kit. (Hopefully that link went through, if not, I'll try to update this post.) While making the kits I must admit I really doubted these ultra thin Mylar Emergency Blankets could do much, but they did get good reviews and I figured for as cheap as they are what did I have to lose. Today (11 months later!) I received my order of 50 mylar blankets which I'm handing out like candy going forward (in fact, it would be a great trick or treat gift to give along with a candy bar!) I REALLY BELIEVE THIS SIMPLE, INEXPENSIVE EMERGENCY BLANKET COULD SAVE A LIFE. Now for my review: They are exactly 52 x 84, the same dimensions as listed. They come very neatly packaged in little zip lock bags that are about 5-1/4 X 3-1/2" (they fold up super orderly and fit like a charm.) I sat cross legged on my floor, wrapped a blanket around me and over my head and held it closed in front of my nose and started to sweat within 45 seconds.....was amazed, so I took it outside (it's 33 degrees f outside at the moment) - I did not sit down in the snow cross legged, but I did stand with the blanket wrapped around me and over my head in just my shirt and leggings and was very comfortable for over 10 minutes at which time I was impressed enough so gave up the experiment. As soon as I unwrapped myself from the blanket I was immediately chilled, showing me how cold it really is outside. As far as how durable it is....It's durable enough that's for sure. It didn't even come close to tearing, although I didn't wrestle around with it. I treated it how I would have if I was truly in an emergency and concerned about the effectiveness of the blanket. I'm excited for my husband and teenager to come home so I can show them how awesome these blankets are. I would post pictures here, but my phone data is all used up with over 7000 pictures of my kids and grandkids. I really need someone to get those pictures off my phone and onto my computer for me.

Most folks in high density living areas don't think about personal survival in tough circumstances. They have grown complacent to expect others to rescue them, in time. In New England storms in the winter can notably whip up quickly and change the driving conditions from challenging to impassable very quickly. It could be many hours before help could arrive. What is most important in NE winter driving vehicles, is a source of warmpth, light, water, and food. These space blankets, whose technology came straight from NASA and the space program. Yes this is consumer benefit from NASA. These blankets are used on emergency vehicles all the time. But by the time the government gets there it is usually too late. So pick up a box of these very, small, effective, and useful blankets. They should be in hiking back backs, day packs, autos, motorcycles, RVs, homes, any place that travels beyond and it can turn cold, unexpectedly . To wrap an injured person in, or healthy folks who are stranded and learning that the recovery time is longer than the body can stand in the cold. These blankets save lives. They are small, light and effective. This deal on Amazon is very cost effective. It lets one toss a few where the are needed. NOT at $15 a piece.

These blankets do exactly what they say, keep you warm and protected from the elements. These are an important part of any emergency ""go kit" or "ready bag". They are light weight, small and easy to pack. Since they are not very expensive, they also make a nice hand out for people who promote emergency preparedness. My Community Emergency Response Team will be handing these out at our police department's National Night Out. They are a nice way to get people started thinking about being ready..

I purchased these to pass out in my ministry, we were able to give them to the homeless we serve as a way to help them combat the winter cold temperatures here in the city. Not only do they keep them warm but they keep them dry.

After hearing a presentation on emergency preparedness and the MANY different ways mylar blankets could be used, I wanted a large supply so that I could share with others who heard the speech. These came quickly, they were the best price I could find, and seem quite sturdy & easy to use. Each blanket was packaged individually, which worked well for my purposes.
I'm quite pleased with the product!

So many blankets!! Opened one to check the quality. Thinner than my other slightly more expensive one. I can see through a little bit but the reflection still works well and seems to be even on the blanket. So if you don’t mind it being a little thin, these still reflect plenty of heat back and seem strong enough to get you by for casualty care and basic survival.
