Instructions for Use: Make sure the striker’s protective layer of paint is stripped to provide better contact on the magnesium rod. Scrape a small amount of magnesium shavings onto your prepared tinder. Holding the rod at an angle, so that the sparks land on the tinder, forcefully strike the striker against the rod. Continue until sparks have made contact with and ignited the shavings & tinder.
